In celebration of Puma’s longstanding corroboration of African football, the global ‘sportslifestyle’ brand commissioned prominent New York artist Kehinde Wiley to create artworks in honour of the beautiful game and its African superstars. For our fashion section this season, one small seed constructed a shoot inspired by his art, featuring the Puma Africa Collection that draws on the decorative elements of Kehinde’s flamboyant portraits. Fashion label The Inoue Brothers was founded in 2004 by real-life Japanese brothers Satoru and Kiyoshi Inoue, who were born and raised in Copenhagen. Their design/art studio takes Japanese sensibility and merges it with Scandinavian simplicity. They call it Scandinasian design. In another one small seed tv fashion exclusive we go on location with the team as The Inoue Brothers create the fashion story for their new collection, shot in Cape Town in collaboration with the members of our favourite Afrochique musicians, Gazelle. Magazine Related Video - Issue 17........ Since Issue 13 of one small seed, we’ve been taking you behind the scenes on our shoots. From cover shots to fashion spreads, it’s a world that very few had previously seen. For Issue 17, we once again ventured behind the lens, this time on Sam Norval’s ‘South Beach’ shoot, set on the Sea Point Promenade in Cape Town. Feel the heat as we linger in this world of chiselled chests and tiny dogs.

Carlos Lascano’s animated film, A Short Love Story, is shot Stop Motion and 2D animation. The heart-warming love story discloses a young girl’s dream life, journeying from the moment of her first kiss to old age. Created, directed and produced by the multi-talented Carlos, he blends different techniques to achieve his phenomenal work, which has had the one small seed team in awe. Using the best organic material and other textures to create his characters and settings, the composed shots come to life when they are composed in After Effects. Watch this light hearted short film and be inspired.

Magazine Related Video - issue 16........one small seed fashion shoots are always fun and exciting places to be, a great chance to learn the tricks of the trade and see what goes into putting a professional fashion spread together. For issue 16 our fourth anniversary issue, we’ve created a wacky neo-pop fashion feature that combines denim with crazy retro colours and Op Art-inspired design. Entitled ‘DIY Denim: The Hands of Pop’, the feature is also the basis for the issue’s cover. Check out the live footage on one small seed tv. It’s, ahem, a really hands-on shoot.

Levi Strauss South Africa embarked on a search for a fresh photographer to bring their unique vision to the world’s original denim brand. The chosen photographer would shoot seasonal campaigns for Levi’s, to be featured in store and in local media. onesmallseed.tv sat down with the winner of this prestigious competition, Romi Stern. Come and enter the magical world of Madame Zinagara’s Theatre Of Dreams. It’s a mystical realm where contortionists dangle from the rafters while you chow on chocolate chili steak; a place where a ten feet tall Minotaurs loom behind you as you feast on delectable desserts. While the original Madame Zingara’s burned down in 2006 it wasn’t long before the institution was resurrected. Since then it has become an entirely mobile venue able to be broken down and reassembled in a matter of days. The interplay between the superb lighting rig and the mystical interior decorating adds the final touches to a truly magnificent experience.
