Renowned for both his prominent role in the Giant Step period of the ’90s and the Turntables on the Hudson parties, New York-based DJ Nickodemus is still keeping the beats fresh, funky and full of worldly flavour. His music is infused with elements of blues, funk and Afro-beats, with each track as high-energy as the next. The one small seed TV crew caught up with Nickodemus at the Red Bull studios on Friday 2 July and then filmed him live in action later that night at Cape Town’s Vaudeville Theatre.
