Submission guidelines
We’re looking for original content, whose focus is relevant to South African or global arts and popular culture. This can include anything from short films and documentaries to animations and any other experimental video productions.
Submissions should highlight fresh new things happening in the contemporary creative scene. Bear in mind that this online platform allows more leeway for creative freedom in terms of content, language use, etc. than any other South African media platform, so take advantage of this.
The final video that you send us must be the finished product of something that you have shot, edited and produced yourself, complete with all necessary credits. By sending in footage or video products, you understand that one small seed reserves the rights to use it as we see fit.
You can submit content in one of the following three ways:
- Upload (to any public server like Yousendit, Vimeo or YouTube)
- Drop off on a disk at one small seed’s offices (22 Lawley Road, Woodstock)
Content that you submit can be projects that fit into any of the categories here on one small seed tv, from doccies and short films to videos covering parties and events to music videos and any other rare finds.
For the best guideline of what kind of material to submit, browse through our site and watch the videos to get a good feel of what one small seed tv is all about. If you have any queries about what to submit, please feel free to contact us.
