The National Arts Festival was founded in 1974 by The Grahamstown Foundation and has grown from a dorp arts offering to a well established South African tradition. School halls are transformed into theatres and every field plays host to a variety of traders as the town is gripped by festival fever. Although The Festival is held in June, when the country is caught in the icy grip of winter, hundreds make the journey from around South Africa and the globe to attend. Follow us as we laugh along to comedian Dekaf, are enthralled by Bafana Republic 3 and sing along to the Parlotones. This is just a snippet of what is on offer in this clip from the one small seed tv crew.
